This project will focus on tackling key challenges faced in using human pluripotent stem cell-derived islet cells for diabetes treatment. By leveraging the differentiation technology of human pluripotent stem cells into islet cells, it aims to address the issue of insufficient cell sources during diabetes treatment. Simultaneously, it will develop better islet differentiation and transplantation schemes and resolve critical scientific issues such as immune rejection faced during transplantation.
